Ronnie Biggs and Jack Slipper. A dual signed 150th Anniversary of the Metropolitan Police FDC. Ronnie Biggs, an English criminal who helped plan and carry out the Great Train Robbery of 1963. He subsequently became notorious for his escape from prison in 1965, living as a fugitive for 36 years. Signed, adding ”With best wishes, Rio de Janeiro 95”. Jack Slipper was mainly known for his role in investigating the Great Train Robbery of 1963, and in tracking down Ronnie Biggs after he escaped from prison in 1965, although he had to leave Brazil without Biggs. Postmarked 26th Sept 1979 with New Scotland Yard cancellations, set of four stamps and insert. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
