WW2 Lord Newborough Micky Wynn Colditz Pow and H. C. W Ironside And Signed 40th Anniversary Liberation Of Colditz Cover. Numbered 42 of 50. Robert Charles Michael Vaughan Wynn, 7th Baron Newborough, DSC (24 April 1917 - 11 October 1998) was a British peer and Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve officer who played a decisive role during the St. Nazaire Raid in 1942 where he commanded a Motor Torpedo Boat. Captured after his boat had to be abandoned, he was sent to Colditz after an escape attempt. He was repatriated after feigning illness. Hugo Craster Wakeford Ironside, a British Army officer and Colditz prisoner of war. He was a member of the Royal Tank Regiment and was captured on May 26, 1940, arriving at Colditz Castle on June 21, 1943. After the war, he resumed his military career, achieving the rank of Brigadier and receiving an OBE. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
