A formal 10 Downing Street Christmas card signed by Edward Heath in 1973, (his last Christmas as PM) and the front has a reproduction of a painting by John S Sargent “Masaba, Then Holy Land” (from Heath's private collection) and is signed inside as “Edward Heath” - small tear to the bottom margin of the back of the card, nowhere near the autograph. Provenance: From the personal archive of Sir John Lacy, director in charge of campaigning for the Conservative Party and chief steward responsible for running the party conference at the Grand Hotel Brighton in October 1984 when it was bombed by the IRA.
