Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin signed RARE KNIGA space cover. Astronaut 1st man in Space (1934--1968) became the first human to journey into outer space on 12 April 1961, orbiting Earth once aboard Vostok 1. A philatelic cover commemorating the historic first human spaceflight boldly signed by Gagarin himself in black ink at upper left. Cover shows an artistic rendering of Gagarin's orbital flight around the Earth with matching 3 kopek Soviet postage stamp at upper right bears Gagarin's portrait alongside a rocket and the Kremlin spire, with Cyrillic text reading: ”Man from the Soviet Union in Space -- Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.” The stamp is postmarked Moscow.
