Concorde Snoop Nose designer Norman Harry signed 2003 Paris cover 3 of 7 issued. Apprenticed at Short Bros. Rochester in 1935. Workshop and design office training followed by various senior design positions including Chief of Stress and Airworthiness, culminating as Executive Director and Chief Designer of Marshall of Cambridge; responsible for design, certification and flight test of many projects including Tristar freighter conversion, Concorde droop nose and visor, air to air refuelling conversions, space lab mission payloads, fatigue life evaluation and testing, structural audits and airworthiness certifications. Author of several published papers on aerospace subjects including prize winning paper on physiological effects of weightlessness.
