Alex McKie 617 Sqn, Navigator, Flew to Russia for the attack on 15th September 1944 but his aircraft was damaged by Russian flak, so was unable to take part in the attack. Took part in the attack on 29th October. Aircraft damaged by flak, so pilot headed for Sweden where a successful forced landing was made, Crew interned but returned to UK shortly.
