JS(CC)1 RAF commemorative cover produced to commemorate the 1995 Air Fair of the 50th Anniversary of the VE Day Display and entitled East Meets West. The artwork of the cover shows 50 years of Russian Aircraft, from WWII the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG 3 single seat fighter, the successful Petlyakov Pe-2 twin engine bomber which served 1941-45, the Ilyushin Il-10 which entered service in February 1945 above the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG 15 and Sukhoi Su-27 jet fighters are shown. The covers have been flown in BBMF Lancaster PA 474 from the UK to the Netherlands as part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations of Operation Manna. Cover bears a 25p VE Day Stamp and the special BFPS postmark 2452 for the 50th Anniversary of VE Day Biggin Hill Air Show. This cover has been signed by elven members of the Red Stars Race Team who flew at the air show, 10x YAK-52 pilots and 1x YAK-11 pilot. Official special - numbered and certified out of 300 produced.
