WW2 RAF pilot John K Byrne 56 sqn signed Hawker Hurricane Bookplate. 7 x 5 inch limited edition Printed card with border, perfect for matting or use as bookplate. F/O J Byrne was a pilot in 56 Squadron during World War II, specifically as part of the 197 Typhoon Squadron. He was known as ”Paddy”. In late 1944, he joined 56 Squadron flying the Tempest, based at Volkel in the Netherlands. He participated in low-level strafing attacks on trains, motor transport, and supply columns.
