WW2 RAF Flt Lt D W Briggs DFC 156 Sqn signed Avro Lancaster bomber bookplate. 7 x 5 inch limited Special edition printed card with border, perfect for matting or use as bookplate. Flt Lt D.W. Briggs DFC was a Flight Engineer with No. 156 Squadron RAF during World War II, completing 62 operations on Lancaster bombers. He served with the Pathfinder Force (PFF) from 1944 to 1945, flying out of RAF Upwood. Post-war, he became a pilot and participated in Operation Grapple, dropping the first British atomic bombs.
