Group Captain Harold Percival ”Flash” Pleasance, DFC (Distinguished Flying Cross), OBE, was a highly experienced Royal Air Force officer known for his courageous actions during World War II. Key Details and Accomplishments, Wartime Action (1940): As a Squadron Leader in 1940, he demonstrated extreme bravery during a single-aircraft reconnaissance mission over France, where he attacked enemy transport and aircraft despite heavy fire and sustaining a leg wound. 107 Squadron: He was a key member of No. 107 Squadron, serving under Basil Embry, and was the sole survivor of a six-bomber daylight raid in May 1940. Burma Campaign: He served in the Burma campaign, providing critical support for the 14th Army's advance to Rangoon, for which he was appointed OBE. Post-War Career: Pleasance remained in the RAF, commanding No. 22 Squadron in Singapore and RAF Chivenor in the 1950s before retiring in 1960. Single Vendor collection. Good condition.
