Description:

1st Flight of the Zeppelin cover Signed Oskar Fink Zeppelin steersman 1928. 29th July 1980 BFPS1715 80th Anniversary 1st Flight Zeppelin 2 July 1900. Cover based on a printing by John Blake of Luftschiff Zeppelin 1 ( LZ1 ) flying over Lake Constance on 2 July 1900. Cover flown on the maiden flight of Cameron D96 Hot Air Airship Cimarron. Personally Signed by Oskar Fink having been a locksmith since leaving school, he went to work in the mounting sections of the Luftschiffban in Friedrichshafen. The LZ127 had just been built and he worked on this airship until its entry into service in 1928. That year the LZ129 Hindenburg came into service. Oskar Fink was posted to the LZ127 Graf Zeppelin as a steersman and flew with the aircraft mainly the South American routes. Detail enclosed with black and white photo. Certified Cover no 1089 of 1481 and signed by the project officer. Good condition Est.
