Bronze Propeller & Compass from Ocean Pearl, Orkney - The propeller and the compass came off the 19ft Orkney Yole, Ocean Pearl, K672, built in the South Isles in 1930’s, first registered in 1946. The Ocean Pearl was re-engined in 1983, when its two cylinder Kelvin petrol / paraffin engine was replaced by a Petters diesel. This necessitated a propeller change out. (Hence the propeller). The compass, which was very good quality and accurate at the time, I believe was the Ocean Pearl’s original compass.
