Original Painting by Stan Hugill (1906–1992) - Arenowned British marine artist and sea shanty performer often called the ”Last Working Shantyman”. Stan Hugill spent 23 years at sea, notably serving as the official shantyman on the Garthpool, the last British commercial sailing ship. His deep first-hand knowledge of seafaring is reflected in his artistic output, which includes approximately 250 oil paintings and five books on maritime culture
