The coin is secured within a plain, circular yellow gold bezel mount featuring a simple loop bale for suspension. The obverse of the coin displays the left-facing portrait of King George V surrounded by the inscription GEORGIVS V D. G. BRITT: OMN: REX F. D. IND: IMP:. The reverse features the classic motif of Saint George on horseback slaying the dragon, designed by Benedetto Pistrucci, with the date 1914 appearing in the exergue.
