Celtic Art Industries Sterling Silver and Amethyst Cridhe Bib Necklace - This Scottish Celtic Revival bib necklace was designed by Hamish Dawson Bowman for Celtic Art Industries. The center features a large oval-cut faceted amethyst, approximately 18mm by 14mm, secured in a multi-prong setting with a decorative granulated border. Flanking the center stone are two curved, openwork sterling silver panels connected by hinges. The panels display the Cridhe pattern, featuring intricate zoomorphic beast motifs within traditional Celtic knotwork and scrollwork. The bib section is attached to a fine trace-link silver chain with a spring-ring clasp. The reverse of one panel bears the following hallmarks: the word SCOTLAND in block letters, a GW maker mark for George Williams, a thistle standard mark, an Edinburgh castle assay mark, and the date letter n for 1968.
