Regency Chamberlain Worcester antique porcelain teacup and saucer, - Chamberlain Worcester antique porcelain teacup and saucer, meticulously crafted in England during the Regency period around circa 1816–1820 This specific design features a flared, elegant rim known historically as the ”Princess Charlotte Shape” or a ”New Gadrooned Tournay Shape”. It features a heavily gilded, gadrooned (pie-crust styled) edge on both the cup rim and the saucer perimeter.Handle: The teacup features a highly stylized, ornate gold finger-loop handle. A signature characteristic of this shape is an integrated eagle or griffin's head molded directly within the inner curve of the grip. Pattern: The exterior is exquisitely hand-painted with dense, vibrant arrangements of pink roses, poppies, pansies, and garden flowers set against a crisp white ground, accented by delicate gold foliate details (”twigging”). Robert Chamberlain established his independent factory in Severn Street, Worcester, in 1783.
