Daum Nancy Acid Etched and Enameled Miniature Thistle Vase - A Daum Nancy miniature art glass vase featuring a slender, tapering neck and a bulbous base resting on a circular foot. The glass body is acid-etched to a matte frosted texture with a mottled aurora ground of yellow and orange tones. The exterior is decorated with a detailed acid-etched and enameled motif depicting prickly thistles in shades of brown and sienna, accented with delicate gold painted highlights. The upper rim and the base are finished with gilded bands. The underside of the base bears a hand-painted signature in gilt consisting of the name Daum, the Cross of Lorraine symbol, and the city name Nancy. Height: 4.5 inches.
