Victorian English Brass Fusee Skeleton Clock by A. Cox Savory London - An antique Victorian-era English skeleton clock featuring a single-train fusee movement. The mechanical assembly is supported by a brass Gothic-style architectural frame with pointed spires and turned supports. The movement is mounted on four circular brass feet resting on a molded oval wooden base finished in a mahogany tone. A tall, clear glass dome covers the assembly. The clock features a silvered brass chapter ring with engraved black Roman numerals. The upper portion of the ring is inscribed A. Cox Savory London 47 Cornhill No. 473. The hands are black-finished steel in a spade style. The movement includes a visible chain-driven fusee mechanism designed to equalize the torque of the mainspring. A separate pendulum with a brass rod and circular bob is present.
