Early 20th Century Campaign Style Oak Cutlery Canteen on Stand - This early 20th-century campaign-style cutlery canteen is a two-part piece constructed from solid oak with a prominent straight grain. The upper chest fits into a molded stand and features two paneled doors that open to reveal four shallow, graduated drawers designed for flatware storage. The stand contains a single deep drawer below the cabinet doors. The piece is characterized by its brass campaign-style hardware, including recessed flush-mount drawer pulls and heavy-duty swing handles on the sides of the upper chest. Drawer interiors are lined with blue felt and contain wooden dividers for a silver service. he chest is supported by a stand with four square tapered legs reinforced by a double-H stretcher and terminates in brass cup casters. A small rectangular brass plaque is inset into the center of the top lid, though no manufacturer mark is legible.
