George III Style Mahogany Octagonal Kettle Stand - A George III style mahogany kettle stand featuring an octagonal top enclosed by a raised, pierced fretwork gallery in a Chinese Chippendale geometric pattern. The stand is supported by a slender, turned pedestal with a carved acanthus leaf baluster base. It is mounted on a tripod base consisting of three out-swept cabriole legs. Each leg features carved acanthus leaf motifs at the knee and terminates in a scrolled foot. The piece is constructed of solid mahogany. No maker marks or labels are visible.
