Victorian Style Mahogany Kneehole Writing Desk - A mahogany writing table featuring a rectangular solid wood top over a kneehole arrangement. The desk contains four drawers: two wide shallow top drawers and two deeper side drawers. Each drawer front is decorated with light-colored stringing inlay and fitted with turned wooden knobs and internal brass locks. The kneehole is accented with two carved scrollwork brackets. The piece stands on four turned and tapered legs. Drawer interiors are plain wood, with the exception of the lower right drawer which contains a red and white checkered liner. No maker labels or marks are visible.
