Early 20th Century British 22 carat Gold Edward VII Half Sovereign - A 1902 British half sovereign struck in 22 carat gold with Aspray jewellery box. The coin features the bare-headed portrait of King Edward VII facing right on the obverse, surrounded by a Latin legend. The reverse depicts the classic motif of Saint George on horseback slaying a dragon, with the date 1902 located in the exergue. The piece has a milled edge and was produced at the Royal Mint in London. The coin is housed in an original dark burgundy textured presentation case. The interior lid is lined with cream silk, gold-stamped with a crown device above the characters 'ASPREY', '166. BOND ST', and 'LONDON.'. The base features a matching cream velvet lining with a central slit for display.
