Marks for the Birmingham and Chester assay offices are visible alongside maker initials including M&W for Mappin & Webb, H.M for Henry Matthews, GR for George Rathbone, W&S for Woodward & Soresby, L&W for Lee & Wigfull, L&S for Levi & Salaman, and EJ B for E.
