A 20th Century Iona Silver Luckenbooth Necklace by John Hart - A vintage Scottish necklace crafted from silver featuring traditional Luckenbooth pendants. The jewelry is designed as a bib-style collar featuring seven graduated pendants. Each pendant is constructed in the Luckenbooth form, consisting of an openwork heart surmounted by a crown with internal scrollwork decoration. The pendants are connected by circular links and suspended from a double-strand cable link chain. The reverse of the primary pendant bears an impressed mark reading SILVER and IONA within quotation marks. A circular cartouche containing the monogram letters JH is positioned next to the wordmark. The necklace is secured with a swan-neck hook clasp. No further maker names or marks are visible.
