A Wooden Model of the Young America Clipper Ship - A detailed wooden display model of the 1853 Young America clipper ship. The piece is constructed with a wooden hull featuring a natural wood upper portion and a dark green painted lower section. It is fully rigged with three masts, numerous cream fabric sails, and a complex system of thread rigging, all mounted on a carved wooden base with a central compass rose motif. Additional details include twin wooden lifeboats, a ship's wheel, deck gratings, and a metal anchor suspended from the starboard bow. A brass-toned plaque is attached to the front of the base, stamped with the characters CLIPPER SHIP - 1853 - YOUNG AMERICA. No further manufacturer marks, stamps, or labels are visible.
