An 19th Century Jacobite Glass Wine Goblet - An engraved commemorative wine glass crafted from clear hand-blown glass. The vessel features a drawn trumpet-shaped bowl tapering into a solid plain stem. This terminates in a wide conical foot with a rough snapped pontil on the underside. The glass displays traditional hand-blown construction. The bowl is wheel-engraved with a central roundel containing a thistle head and the Latin motto AUDENTIOR IBO. The reverse depicts a heraldic rose with two buds and a large thistle sprig. The foot is further decorated with trailing thistle foliage. No maker marks or signatures are present.
