A Pair of 20th Century Chinese Lacquered and Inlaid Wall Panels - A pair of vertical Chinese wall panels finished in black lacquer with multi-material decorative inlays. Each rectangular panel is constructed from wood with a high-gloss black lacquer finish. The panels are fitted with traditional brass cloud-motif hangers at the top edges for wall mounting. The central compositions feature female figures in flowing robes, rendered in relief-carved hardstone and mother-of-pearl. These figures are set within landscapes composed of gilt-painted mountains, pagodas, and pavilions, all enclosed by a repeating floral and geometric gilt border. Two small white adhesive labels are attached to the lower front edge of each panel, but no maker marks, signatures, or reign marks are visible.
