Bidspirit auction | A Late 19th Century Upcycled

A Late 19th Century Upcycled Mahogany Steampunk Style Bar - A late 19th-century mahogany chest of drawers repurposed into a dual-sided steampunk-style bar unit. The unit is constructed from a traditional four-drawer chest featuring mahogany and mahogany veneers with pine secondary wood. The front retains two short over two long drawers, while the reverse has been modified into an open three-tier shelving configuration. It is surmounted by a thick, overhanging rectangular tempered glass top and stands on four turned bun feet finished in copper-toned paint. The exterior features extensive custom industrial modifications including polished copper piping, brass plumbing fixtures, and a red-enameled wheel-handle gate valve repurposed as pulls. Bicycle sprockets and a drive chain are mounted to one side panel, and a bottle opener is attached to the other. No maker marks or labels are visible on the interior or exterior surfaces.
