A 19th Century Lidded Pewter Flagon - An antique lidded flagon crafted from pewter. The vessel features a tapered cylindrical body rising from a flared, stepped base to a hinged, domed lid surmounted by a cast shell-form finial. A scrolled handle is attached to the rear, and the spout is detailed with a decorative leaf-motif terminal at the junction with the body. The exterior is ornamented with an engraved central band of diamond lattice containing stylized crosses. Two rows of beading and incised lines frame the lattice, while a vacant oval cartouche is positioned near the base. The underside features hand-stamped numbers reading ”I 5 5” above ”5 5”, though no manufacturer name is present. Height: Approximately 9.5 inches.
