19th Century Chinese Carved Wood Storage Cabinet - A 19th century Chinese storage cabinet featuring elaborate hand-carved decorative panels. The cabinet is constructed in two parts with a four-door upper section above four central drawers and four lower doors. The piece is fitted with darkened brass hardware, including rectangular lock plates, gourd-shaped ring pulls, and horizontal sliding locking pins. It stands on four square legs with fretwork corner brackets at the base. The upper doors contain oval relief-carved panels depicting figural scenes of musicians and scholars within architectural settings, surrounded by pierced geometric fretwork. The horizontal panels and drawers feature carved floral, bird, and landscape motifs. A faint, single incised symbol consisting of three meeting strokes is visible on the far-right upper metal plate, but no legible maker marks or reign marks are present on the wood or hardware.
