A Set of Four 1930s Thomas Taylor Lignum Vitae Lawn Bowls - A set of four 1930s lawn bowls crafted from polished lignum vitae. The bowls feature an asymmetrical bias and are fitted with inset circular silver plate plaques on each pole. Concentric wavy decorative grooves encircle the plaques, which are numbered one through four on one side to identify the set. Two bowls bear commemorative plaques engraved INVERNESS BOWLING CLUB WON BY J. BURNETT 1934 PRESIDENT'S PRIZE, while the remaining pair features the monogram WHB. The maker name and location, THOMAS TAYLOR GLASGOW, are incised around the central plates, alongside the stamping NO 3 BIAS and the batch codes AY3450 and K14.
