A Collection of Six British Glass Fishing Floats - A collection of six hand-blown glass fishing floats in various shades of green. The spheres are hand-blown from thick-walled glass ranging from light olive to dark forest green hues. Artisanal manufacturing features include occasional trapped air bubbles, irregular glass thickness, and prominent rough glass seals at the pontil marks where each sphere was detached from the blowpipe. Four of the floats are encased in their original knotted cord or twisted rope netting in brown, cream, and salmon colors, while two remain as bare glass. One specimen displays an embossed base mark consisting of an anchor with an entwined letter 'S' set within a circle. Another float is embossed on the base with the words 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN' arranged in a circular format. No other maker marks or labels are visible.
