An Early 20th Century London Silver Mounted Maple and Spruce Violin - A full-size 4/4 violin crafted from spruce and flamed maple with hallmarked silver fittings. The instrument features a fine-grained spruce top plate and a two-piece maple back with matching ribs. The neck and scroll are carved from maple with a strong horizontal figure and are fitted with an ebony fingerboard and tailpiece. The ebony tuning pegs are decorated with mother-of-pearl Parisian eye ornaments. The endpin button features a silver mount bearing the impressed letters 'BT' in a rectangular cartouche, alongside hallmarks for a lion passant, a leopard's head, and shields containing the letters 'S' and 'f'.
