A Brass Nautical Manual Pump Foghorn with Nested Cups - A vintage brass nautical manual pump foghorn with integrated nested cups. The instrument is constructed from polished brass with a tall cylindrical body and a central plunger shaft. A black spherical composite handle tops the shaft, which passes through a domed cap perforated with a ring of vent holes to operate the internal pump mechanism. A brass bracket is soldered to the side of the main cylinder, holding two nested, tapered brass cups. The base is flat with a rolled edge, and no maker marks, signatures, or serial numbers are visible on any of the exterior surfaces. Height: Approximately 22 inches
