19th Century Japanese Pure Silver Chrysanthemum Box - A 19th-century Japanese trinket box crafted from solid pure silver. The circular, globular vessel is modeled as a blooming chrysanthemum flower with a matching removable lid. It is constructed with high-relief repoussé work to create three-dimensional petals that overlap across the entire exterior surface. The petals feature fine chased detailing to simulate natural textures. A small rectangular recessed cartouche on the base contains the impressed characters ”純銀”, which indicate the piece is made of pure silver. The interior displays a bright, reflective finish.
