A Collection of Four 19th Century London Sterling Silver Spoons - A collection of four 19th-century sterling silver spoons hallmarked in London. The assortment includes a large serving spoon and a dessert spoon in the fiddle pattern, alongside a plain-handled teaspoon and a specialized caddy spoon featuring a short handle and a fluted shell-form bowl. Each piece is constructed from solid sterling silver, with the serving and dessert spoons displaying engraved cursive monograms on the handles. The hallmarks on the reverse of each piece identify the London assay office and include the lion passant standard mark for sterling silver. One handle is impressed with the initials HH over HL, a leopard head, the date letter J for 1824, and a monarch's profile. The caddy spoon bears the initials DU over NH and a lowercase Old English r for 1852. Other spoons show date letters for 1813 and 1826.
