A 19th Century Mahogany Prayer Stool - A 19th-century prayer stool crafted from solid mahogany. The stool features a rectangular top with a plain edge over a straight frieze accented by curved corner brackets. It stands on four square-section legs, each decorated with twin turned ring collars and terminating in block feet with tapered tips. An H-form stretcher connects the legs for stability. The mahogany exhibits a rich grain pattern with a dark finish. No maker labels, signatures, or stamps are present on the visible surfaces of the piece. A red foil-wrapped object is positioned on the surface for scale and does not form part of the lot. Measures 23.5” wide & 23” tall
