Late 19th Century Art Nouveau Stained Glass Window Panel - An antique Art Nouveau stained glass window panel set within a wooden sash frame. Approx measurements 69cm wide * 72cm tall The window is constructed using lead cames to secure a variety of glass types, including hammered yellow panels, textured clear sections, and various colored pot-metal glass. The central oval medallion features a hand-painted bird perched on a fruiting bramble branch with small pink flowers. This piece represents the architectural glass style associated with Maitland architects in Tain and remains in its original dark-stained wooden sash frame with a metal top latch and a bottom lift handle. Stylized Art Nouveau whiplash scrolls in lime green and pale blue glass frame the central motif against a textured clear background. The outer border consists of alternating red and clear glass rectangles, accented by a single pink heart-shaped element at the base. No maker signatures, marks, or labels are visible on the glass or the wooden frame.
