Mid-20th Century Bencini Agfa and Kodak Cameras - A collection of mid-20th century cameras and a rangefinder accessory from makers Bencini, Agfa, and Kodak. The first camera is an Italian-made Bencini Comet II, constructed from cast aluminum alloy with a black pebble-grain leatherette covering. It features a fixed 50mm lens with manual aperture and focus rings. The top plate is stamped C O M E T II, while the accessory shoe bears the impressed marks C.M.F., bencini, MILANO, and MADE IN ITALY. The Agfa 35mm camera is fitted with an Agfa Color-Agnar 45mm f/2.8 lens and a black metal lens hood. The body combines metal with black leatherette and bears the Agfa diamond-shaped badge on the front. Mounted to the accessory shoe is a Johnson Wray shoe-mounted rangefinder with a distance dial marked in feet. The interior film chamber is stamped with the serial number V R 4 6 4 5, and an adhesive label reads i s o p a n Agfa A g f a c o l o r. The Kodak Brownie 8mm Movie Camera II was made in England from die-cast metal with a textured brown covering. It features a fixed 13mm f/1.9 lens and includes a custom-fit brown leather carrying case. The front panel is marked K o d a k and B r o w n i e 8 M M M O V I E C A M E R A I I, and the side body is embossed MADE IN ENGLAND. An interior door label provides film loading instructions and mentions Kodak, Brownie, Cine-Ektanon, and Kodachrome trademarks.
