19th Century Oil Portrait of the Lomellini Family After Sir Anthony van Dyck - A 19th-century oil painting on canvas depicting a formal family group portrait in a dark interior - a 19th Century copy of the van Dyck masterpiece from around 1626 The piece is executed in oils on a stretched canvas and is housed in a modern, plain gilt-finished wooden frame. The Lomellini Family is a portrait painting by the Flemish Baroque painter Anthony van Dyck. A group portrait of a landed Genoese family, it is in the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh. The composition portrays the Lomellini family in 17th-century attire, including a man in plate armor and a seated woman in a lace ruff collar. A small dog sits at the base of the grouping.
