18th Century English Oak Gateleg Table - An 18th-century English gateleg table crafted from solid oak. The table features a plank-top construction with two semi-circular drop-leaves that extend to form a circular dining surface. When both leaves are lowered, the piece assumes a narrow rectangular form. The top is supported by a double gateleg base with turned ring-and-baluster legs joined by a peripheral box stretcher. The piece is finished in a dark stain that highlights the natural grain and figuring of the oak. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the legs, stretchers, or underside of the tabletop. Measures 39.5” wide & 29” tall
