19th Century Mahogany Marble Top Inlaid Washstand - An antique mahogany washstand featuring a variegated marble top and splashback. The piece is constructed from mahogany with fine light wood stringing inlay outlining the two cupboard doors. It stands on four square tapered legs that terminate in brass-capped casters. The lower section consists of a two-door cabinet providing internal storage. The upper portion includes a matching marble splashback set within a mahogany frame with scrolled side supports. Both the surface and splashback are composed of highly figured marble with white, grey, and terracotta-red veining. The cabinet doors are fitted with ornate metal drop-pull handles with decorative backplates. No maker marks or labels are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces. 108cm wide 46cm deep 117cm tall
