19th Century English Mahogany Chiffonier Sideboard - A 19th-century English chiffonier sideboard constructed from mahogany and mahogany veneers. The piece features a serpentine-fronted top surmounted by a high backboard with a single shelf supported by small barley-twist columns. The main body consists of a full-width serpentine drawer above a two-door cupboard, which opens to reveal a single fixed shelf divided by a central vertical support. The entire unit is flanked by prominent full-length spiral-turned columns and rests on a solid plinth base. The backboard is decorated with scrolled edges and a central carved foliate and shell crest. The cupboard doors are finished with recessed arched panels and a central keyhole. No maker's marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the exterior or accessible interior surfaces of the piece. 108cm wide 42cm deep 150cm tall
