A Set of Four 19th Century Stained Hardwood Side Chairs - A set of four 19th-century side chairs crafted from dark-stained hardwood. The chairs feature rectangular backrests with two horizontal rails framing a row of six turned baluster spindles. They are supported by ring-turned and tapered front legs and square-sectioned, slightly flared rear legs. Each backrest is topped with a shaped crest rail centered by a relief-carved foliate motif. The padded seats are upholstered in camel-colored velvet fabric and finished with decorative gimp trim. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the visible portions of the frames or under the seats.
