A 20th Century Scottish Earthenware Bowl - A 20th-century Scottish hand-painted earthenware bowl decorated with a vibrant geometric pattern. The shallow circular vessel is constructed with a slightly flared rim and stands on a raised foot ring. The interior showcases a central four-petaled motif enclosed by overlapping circles, a ring of triangles, and an outer border of interlocking circles in blue, lime green, and yellow glazes defined by thick black outlines. The exterior is finished with concentric bands of color matching the interior palette. A white paper tag attached to the rim bears the handwritten text ”SCOTTISH POTTERY Bowl c. 1930's” in blue ink. The base is finished with a white glaze and shows no legible manufacturer names or marks, though several indistinct dark smudges are present.
