Vintage Gold and Carved Shell Cameo Pendant Necklace - A vintage pendant necklace featuring an oval carved shell cameo set in gold. The oval carved shell centerpiece depicts a woman in profile with her hair styled in a classic updo. The carving utilizes the natural layered colors of the shell to present a white relief figure against a peach-colored ground. The pendant is mounted in a frame with a decorative scalloped edge and secured by four prongs. It hangs from a double-strand fine link chain fitted with a spring ring clasp. Small impressed marks appear on the side of the bail and the jump ring of the clasp, but these are not legible. No other maker marks or signatures are visible.
