Two Stag Brooches - Two 20th-century stag brooches crafted from sterling silver and silver plate. The lot features a sterling silver stag's head with eight-point antlers and a central round faceted purple amethyst secured in a multi-claw coronet setting. The second brooch depicts a full-bodied stag in a walking pose atop a textured base representing grass. Both jewelry items are fitted with hinged metal pins and simple C-clasps for attachment. The reverse of the stag head displays an impressed mark reading ”ALL X” in a rectangular cartouche. Below this are three distinct hallmark punches including a three-towered castle for Edinburgh, a thistle indicating the sterling silver standard, and a lowercase date letter ”b”. No maker's marks or stamps are visible on the full-bodied stag brooch. Width of stag head: Approximately 35 mm Height of walking stag: Approximately 30 mm.
