20th Century Swiss Silver Plate Royal Navy Pattern 3169 Stopwatch - A 20th-century Swiss silver plate military pocket stopwatch issued to the British Royal Navy. The timepiece is housed in a circular silver plate case with a hinged rear cover and a combined winding crown and suspension loop. The cream-finished dial displays black Arabic numerals at five-second intervals, subdivided by single second markings, and features a 30-minute sub-dial positioned below the red ”6 0” numerals at the top. The exterior case back is stamped with ”P A T T . 3 1 6 9” above a broad arrow symbol and the number ”2 2 9 6 3”. The dial is printed with ”S W I S S M A D E” along the lower edge. The interior of the case back features hand-scribed cursive text reading ”D K hepp / Hamble / Hants.” above a small circular mark. Diameter: Approximately 50mm.
