A Pair of Antique Inuit/Sami Puukko Knives with Bone and Antler Sheaths - A pair of traditional Inuit /Sami Puukko knives, each accompanied by its sheath. The larger knife features a curved handle, likely carved from bone or antler, with a tanned leather collar near the blade. Its matching sheath, also appearing to be bone or antler, is extensively decorated with finely etched geometric patterns and stylized human and animal figures, and incorporates a small tanned leather section near the opening. The smaller knife exhibits a banded handle of alternating light-colored (bone or antler) and darker (wood or horn) materials, and its bone or antler sheath is similarly adorned with etched traditional patterns and figures, featuring a more substantial tanned leather upper section with a visible stud or button. Both knives feature robust metal blades.
