The painting reflects my childhood memories of summers in Cyprus, sleeping outside after a hot day, gazing at the stars and moon, and wondering if God was watching over me. Through this piece, I aim to capture the sense of wonder and mystery, evoking a feeling of awe and comfort as though something is always looking down at us. BIO I am a self-taught British Turkish Cypriot artist, primarily exploring Cypriot culture, surrealism, sexuality, and human emotions. My main medium is oil painting in a naive style, often incorporating rag cotton paper, bespoke stamps, inks, and pen.
